My quests and my choices have always been oriented by the question of human relations... no doubt because they have been emotionally difficult for me for a very long time, both in family and socially.

​After quickly dropping out of human resources following a business management course and entrepreneurship skills Training with Sage Africa with professional focus, I turned to development education through the media in an NGO environment, following a trip to Africa. Then naturally, my curiosity about human functioning led me to neurocognitive and behavioral training.

​My quest for depth was also nourished by long walks in autonomy, in the mountains - my resourceful environment - with the crossing of the Alps and the Pyrenees. But also therapies, courses in personal development and spiritual approach.

"Transmit" is the verb that never ceases to animate my professional choices and after 15 years in Haute-Savoie as a trainer in human relations (stress, aggressiveness ...), facilitator of courses on the relationship with money, speaker, I was literally sucked into the Pyrenees, against all odds.

Installed in the magical Aure Valley since the end of December 2019, I have at heart to combine self-discovery and connection with the mountains; in the increasingly deep feeling that it is urgent to return to our essentials, to Being, to our internal GPS, and that this must be done together, with our fellow human beings, but also in communion with Nature.

All my animations revolve around 2 key words "depth and lightness" and are intended to allow us to feel deeply alive and connected by daring to face our so-called "shadow" parts.

Africa and Europe. Added to this is a reality: the workings and complexities of public policy are not mastered by all. With Amina Zakhnouf, the co-founder of JMA, we started this adventure with the ambition to give each citizen interested in Euro-African relations and in the development of Africa, a space that gives meaning and usefulness to his career, while putting his skills and convictions at the service of the general interest.

In concrete terms, what is JMA's mandate and how is its action organised?

JMA intends to make public policy everyone's business and which invites each young person to dialogue with all levels of public and private action. Our actions are based on a triptych comprising training, ideas and talents. Through our “School of Deliberation”, we train young Africans and Europeans aged 18 to 40, in the challenges of African development (ecological transition, health, etc.) and in active citizenship allowing them to build a foundation of convictions. , to know how to react in the face of contradiction or to appropriate deliberative methods, for example. We recently trained the ambassadors of the NGO One in public policy and official development assistance.

To feed our training school, our “Incube Demain! allows the emergence of solutions brought by African and French youth and reveals new talents. We will soon launch the next “Q1 2023” cohort, which will focus on the attractiveness of cities and territories! I call on companies and local authorities in France and French-speaking Africa to join us in reinventing our cities!

How is the relationship between JMA and the public authorities articulated?

Our method is simple: act to create a balance of power and make our proposals heard. Our book "Alternatives" presents concrete ideas to no longer build a "resilient Africa", but a "high-performance Africa" ​​which does not wait for us to come to its aid and which gives itself the means (...) Ahead of the European Union-African Union (EU-AU) summit in February 2022, Emmanuel Macron called for building an economic and financial “New Deal” with Africa. It must be recognized that the impetus for the software change came from the European public authorities. For us, this is absurd. Above all, Africa must go through this “New Deal” with itself. To think about the development of African nations is to articulate a thought around 3 structuring axes of African economies and societies: competitiveness, social cohesion and innovation. This book is the result of a dialogue between the members of the think tank "A New round-table on african debt" such as Nicolas Jean (Partner at Gide), Roselyne Chambrier (DG Arise Ivoire), Romulad Wadagni (Minister of Economy of Benin) or Sandra Ablamba Johnson (SG of the presidency of Togo).

What technical, human and financial resources does this association have?

e m'engage pour l'Afrique (JMA) is an association of law 1901 which works with donations for the moment. JMA is a community of 7,000 people around the world, which covers more than 50 areas of expertise in different fields (ecological and environmental transition, financing of economies, space industry, digital economy, etc.), 150 contributors and 18 active members with two permanent employees based at the Paris headquarters. With our hybrid business model, our challenge is to convince companies that civic participation and the training of young people must be a priority in their CSR (corporate social responsibility, editor's note) initiatives.
